Pelican Painting

I have finally found some time to finish some paintings that I just haven't been able to get around to because of the holidays. I am taking a painting class right now just to get some beginner insight on how things should be done. I have a lot to learn but I am truly have a very good time drawing and painting. I have never noticed colors in almost everything I see, like I do now. It's amazing...it keeps my mind turning on what I can try and do next. This is a painting of a pelican I drew out a couple of months ago and just couldn't get my colors right - still don't have the feathers down. Will try something different on my next one.
